Wood and Earth

I started documenting Nature impressions around me: trees and branches, water streams, clouds. Light and shadows.

I collected some of the found tree branches to polish them and re-create relationships between them, sometimes pairing different trees and woods.

Based on the observation and assemblage of lines and shapes I created functional pieces, from clay (earth+water) and wood I decided to craft sets of scoops and wands for using in Tea Ceremony.

This small collection of raw stoneware scoops and carved wood wands are all made by hand, with the help of stones, a carving knife (kiridashi) and tools I created as needed.
